Check in/ Check out times?

Arrival time after 2 pm (2 – 5 pm)  and departure time not later than 11 am. If  arriving after 5 pm please contact the office or the manager before 6 pm at the following numbers for arrangements: 027 432 2716 or 063 735 8190

Are pets allowed?

Strictly  no pets allowed  at Grootvlei Guest Farm or On The Dunes.

Are children welcome?

No Children can be accommodated in the Main Guest House, as the rooms can only accommodate 2 people. No Children under 12 years old, without adult supervision, allowed in the Main Guest House. Kids are welcome at Grootvlei on the Dunes and in the Eco-Friendly Village.

What time is breakfast served?

Breakfast is served  between 8h30 and 10h30 am  at the main guest house.

What about self-catering?

We are a bed and breakfast establishment, no self catering allowed in the main guest house, however we can recommend various restaurants in Lambert’s Bay.

What about alcohol?

Grootvlei Guest Farm has a liquor license and operates a cash bar. All alcohol, beers, ciders and shooters are managed by Grootvlei Guest Farm. Table wine can be personally supplied at a corkage fee.

Can we take furniture down to the beach?

At all times, no furniture are to be removed, moved or taken down to the beach from any room on the dunes, including pillows, cushions and blankets. All decorations such as flowers, hearts, trims etc. are the property of Grootvlei Guest Farm and must not be taken from the walls or be removed.

Can visitor use Grootvlei Guest Farm facilities?

Our accommodation facilities, including our showers, are strictly for the residents only and not to be used by guests visiting their family and friends.

Can we make a weekend out of the Weddings?

Certainly, Grootvlei offers a lovely outside barbecue that can be used at additional cost for get-togethers before and / or after the wedding.

How many guest can the farm accommodate in total?

We can offer accommodation up to 63 people.

Can venues be decorated the day before the wedding?

Yes, absolutely! The venue will be available on the Friday morning before the wedding from 08:00 am until 18:00 pm.

Does the venue fee include crockery and glassware?

The venues can be hired with  without the supplies.

What about catering?

Brides are allowed to make use of their own catering, however Grootvlei Guest Farm does offer catering services. We also cater for light meals, for guests staying the night. We are happy to provide the details of our recommended caterers.
